The composite panels

ОLМА ST/AL composite materials. This is a state-of-the-art sandwiched material consisting of two metal (ST - steel or AL - aluminum) sheets and a homogeneous filler between them. The filler is a polymer compound  with the addition of fire-retarding agents and minerals, and special-purpose adhesive compound provides for proper bond strength of aluminum sheets and filler. 

For painting of facing panels wide range of various colors is used in accorance with RAL (basic colors and new collections). 

OLMA ST/AL composite panels:

- Panel width: 1220, 1500 mm;
- Panel thickness: 3, 4, 5 mm
- Metal layer thickness: 0,3; 0,4; 0,5 mm; 
- Standard length: 2440, 3250, 4000 mm; length on a by-order basis: 500 - 6000 mm; 

РЕ and PVDF coating: 
- PE polyether coating on the basis of polyether paintwork materials; 
- PVDF polymer coating on the basis of heat treated fluorocarbon resin 
Aluminum-base composite panels or cases manufactured by OLMA:

ОLМА AL-4 (Г4 flammability group)
Application area:  interior finish, low-height housing construction, advertising and image-building structures. Weight: 4.6 - 5.0 kg/m2

ОLМА AL-1 
Application area: exterior finish of building facades and structures of any fire resistance, all classes of fire and construction safety. Weight: 7.4 - 7.6 kg/m2.

ОLМА AL-1 Plus 
Application area: the same as that of aluminum-base structures OLMA AL-1. The material is permitted for use as cladding of upper and side reveals. Weight: 7.6 - 7.7 kg/m2. 

Advantages of OLMA ST/AL composite panels:

Mounting of composite panels 

The ACP (aluminum composite panels) mounting is rather easy which enables carrying out facade works in a relatively short time and in all weathers. 

The case shall be fixed upon vertical guides by means of clips and hooks that shall be riveted. 

One shall start the mounting procedure from the lower row (from the bottom upwards). Hooks are installed upon vertical guides. The hook is brought in sidewards into the guide and turned by 90 degrees. The hook is mounted into the position of the upper clip of the lower case (the distance can be measured by the case). The guide is bored by means of the Ø 4 mm drill through the hook. At that the openings within the hool are used as a conductor. The hook is then riveted. Another hook is mounted onto the adjoining  guide and fixed at the same level. 

The facing panel is hanged by means of clips onto two hooks and moved aside as far as it can go (the clip will stop at the guide bend). After that one installs hooks for the other clips of cases. The hook is inserted into the guide and brought in from below to the clip in order to allow for a temperature expansion gap making 1...2 mmm between the clip and hook. The  guide is bored by means of Ø 4 mm drill through the hook. The hook is then riveted. In the same manner one mounts the rest cases of one row. 

The cases are leveled horizontally, allowing for a rustication groove (10...12 mm) between cases and fix them with application of rivets on the upper bend of the case having bored a guide through grooved beforehand. In the same manner one mounts the rest cases of one row. 

The cost of composite panels mounting

The ACP mounting price is a combination of costs related with as follows: installation of an insulant, suspended facade system, ACP cutting (manufacture of cases), hanging of cases. 

In as much as composite panels are a rather light-weight building material the cases can mostly be mounted by 3-4 workers with no application of any special equipment. 

The ACP the mounting of which is described above are processed very easily: they can be milled, cut, rolled, punched and perforated.
